Our Spring Share runs weekly from March 5 through June 8. The season for outdoor harvesting in New England would typically begin in June, but thanks to season extension techniques such as greenhouses, high tunnels, and root storage, we are able to begin offering produce in March.
The Spring Share runs for 14 weeks, beginning in March and ending in mid-June, just before the main season begins. Most weeks of the share will include a lovely mixture of fresh greens from our greenhouses, and a myriad of storage crops including potatoes, carrots, beets, celeriac and apples. In early April, we will begin harvesting cucumbers from our greenhouses and in later weeks, our tomatoes will begin to ripen. We will sometimes include "something extra" as well, such as a bunch of radishes or fresh herbs, or mushrooms. You can look forward the following in items your Spring Share, harvest permitting: Greens: Greenhouse lettuce mix, arugula, mesclun mix, radishes, spinach, tatsoi, swiss chard, kale, bok choy, broccoli raab Storage Vegetables and Fruits: Apples, beets, carrots, potatoes, celeriac (depending on harvests and storage conditions) Other crops: tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, herbs, edible flowers If you are getting Metro Pedal Power Delivery please check that you are in their delivery area before confirming your purchase.
